The goal of this activity is:

     (1) an opportunity to discuss and share with others how your school manages your computer lab

     (2) Become familiar the skills of using a wiki and possible future uses for this sort of application for the classroom

Discuss these prompts. One person from your group will write a few notes as you discuss the following: 

• How are classes using your school computer lab? Used for research, Digital Arts classes, staff professional development, writing papers, after-school use, google docs, gaming, yearbook.

• What special tips do you have for managing your lab for other schools? (e.g - Possible tips to share: How does your school assure maintenance and security? Who is responsible for for management? How does your school ensure equity and accessibility to the lab for all classes?) Establish policies, train staff on policies, post policies, follow through on directing the policies, seating chart, faronics insight, surveillance cameras

• What might be a few concerns or issues about your lab that your school is still working on solutions to solve? students changing computer passwords.  Availability.
