The goal of this activity is:

     (1) an opportunity to discuss and share with others how your school manages your computer lab

     (2) Become familiar with the skills of using a wiki and possible future uses for this sort of application for the classroom

Discuss these prompts. One person from your group will write a few notes as you discuss the following: 

• How are classes using your school computer lab?

  Word Processing, Web Site, Searching, Graphics Search, Journals, Powerpoint, Excel Spreadsheets, Clip Art, Photoshop, Tutorial

• What special tips do you have for managing your lab for other schools? (e.g - Possible tips to share: How does your school assure maintenance and security? Who is responsible for for management? How does your school ensure equity and accessibility to the lab for all classes?)

• What might be a few concerns or issues about your lab that your school is still working on solutions to solve?
• We are thinking of a Tech Committee that will create policies and procedures for comp lab use and will monitor those policies. We also see the need for a PT tech, IT staff, to maintain the lab. We would like to establish a consistent use policy for equity of access across the curriculum in order to share the resources and skills our team is learning at this Tech Training.
